I have used this book with my students in a therapeutic harp music training program for many years, in several different editions. I have found the content in this book to be very comprehensive and informative. It covers the life span of the human being in an easy to understand format and is perfect for the program. This content is also taught in the hospital training program where I was on staff for many years. The discussion includes many different aspects of diverse cultures and religions. I highly recommend it.
Strange that this edition has zero reviews. Take a look at the 2015 edition of the same book for readers’ response to the gruesome racism in this textbook.
This book is slipping through the cracks of our public school system and teaching some really heinous, archaic views of culture. Wish I could give it -0 stars.
