About the Author
Philip A. Wheeler, Ph. D, is the technical advisor and consulting agronomist for Crop Services International (CSI), a soil testing lab and consulting service in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Prior to his current position, he, along with Ronald Ward and Richard Vaughan, founded TransNational AGronomy. In addition to consulting, Wheeler has worked for many years in the areas of research and development of agronomic products and technology. Prior to his work in agronomy and agriculture, he served in the U.S. Army and then worked as a science teacher in Chester, Vermont. He received a B.S. in science education from Boston University, an M.A. in adult education from Michigan State University and a Ph. D. in biophysics from Clayton University. Ronald B. Ward spent his childhood summers on a family farm in Michigan, where he learned to love the country life. He earned a B.S. in park management from Michigan State University, an M.A. in divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, and an M.A. in community counseling from the University of Kentucky. After working for and eventually directing the Lexington Central Kentucky Re-ED Program for emotionally disturbed children, Ron returned to his country roots where he was introduced to alternative health and the Reams method of testing urine and saliva. Subsequently, he met Philip Wheeler, and together, they decided to share the Reams concept on a larger level. This was accomplished through the formation of TransNational AGronomy.

Fantastic resource...particularly if you care about health, food, and farming
For a non-farmer, this book gave me a real insight into general farming practices, as well as an excellent summary of the literature on biological farming, soil recovery, understanding weeds and what they mean for soil health.Overall, a very enjoyable read. Probably even better if you are a practical grower or hobbyist, as there are lots of practical descriptions of how to diagnose and handle all types of situations you will find yourself in over the lifecycle of a growing season.Wonderful!
