This biography was very informative, especially for younger readers. The colorful text includes many quality pictures and a sidebar where many explanations are given, such as communism, Islam, the electoral college, the 2nd amendment, and the FBI & CIA. It contained quite a bit of personal info, that made it more interesting to read. I gave it 4 stars as opposed to 5 because I felt that it skimmed some issues that would've been better served with more information/explanation (such as the division in public opinion on the war in Iraq, immigration. It also omitted some personal information that I felt would help a child better understand former President Bush and the struggles he faced at different times in his life (ie. alcohol, Hurricane Katrina, the search for weapons of mass destruction).
