I found this book while we were visiting in New York city at Christmas time. It was at the hotel we were staying at. I got about half the book finished before we checked out and was real excited to finish it. The book was published in 1995 and is Bill Gates predictions of how the tech world will change in the next 10-15 years. He reiterated often that these were just his thoughts on where things would go and that many would probably not happen. What was fascinating about reading the book 20 years later, was all his predictions happened. This included one prediction that robots would not be common place, which apparently from reading the book many in the tech world thought would be case at that time. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Love reading what Bill Gates saw ahead, many years ago. In 1980 he was predicting that we would someday be using computers the size of credit cards.What a visionary he was - and is today! He is a man to be much admired.

The book was fun. It made me feel like I was a part of the computer world. It's a good one.
Excellent condition,faster than expected shipping. Again,great condition for a first edition. Very insightful and preniscient read by Mr. Gates. I still find it amazing that he wrote this book in 1995 and now in 2013 practically all his predictions has come true.
The book came damaged
Dry as unbuttered toast, a firehose delivery of techno prognostications streamed from the massive brain of a true genius. It just keeps coming, wave after wave of what happened and what's next. Made my modestly average brain hurt until I put it down. The early Microsoft years are fun but then it's just a tedious delivery of the rolling technology wave, mostly spot on, which is amazing for sure. If Gates or his editors only had a sense of humor. But alas, not so.
