We were very disappointed in this book. I bought it for my son because he loves exotic fruit. I expected it to have a lot of information about the fruit and nice photographs. There were no photographs and the book is mainly recipes.
Other than her obvious love for chilled fruit, I found this book very useful. The book is fairly old, so many of the fruit and vegetables are more commonplace these days, others not so much. And some of the language is less than politically correct, but, as I said, it's old.
This book contains zero photographs of fruits and vegetables. For a relatively modern book, it's too out-dated for my taste.
Don't look any further than this author. This is a top-notch resource for learning the details about uncommon fruits and vegetables in the American marketplace. Information is detailed and specific for each vegetable and fruit. A great buy!
